DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT

Our Condolences to Cede Bedell-Bropleh

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the sudden and unexpected death of the ONLY son of Mrs. Cece Bedell-Bropleh of the RI chapter. Raymond Nma Godfrey was 35 years and a police officer in the newly reconstituted Liberia National Police Force assigned at the Caldwell Station. He passed away after a brief illness at the JFK Medical Center in Monrovia, Liberia on May 11, 2009. He was buried on Saturday May 16, 2009.

Please join the RI chapter of which the Broplehs’ are active members in extending our heartfelt sympathy to Mr. & Mrs. Bropleh on the untimely home going of their son. May they find comfort during this difficult time as they mourn their loss knowing that we are praying for them; may they also take solace because their son has gone from labor to rest with our Heavenly Father. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed find perpetual rest with our Lord and may light eternal shine on them until we meet again.

The Broplehs can be reach at 401-785-1223

Dear Fellow Marylanders:

I would like to take this time to thank each and all of you for contributing to the success of this year's convention. It was WONDERFUL!!!. Our host chapter with the dynamic leadership of President Agnes Bargblor exhibited much love, dedication and professionalism to everyone this past weekend. What a team!!!!!!!!

My gratitude to all NAMCAL chapters who presented their reports and briefed us on the many contributions to our people and listed their visions for a better Maryland County. It is possible our dreams can become reality if we believe.

Kudos to Dr. Edwin Freeman, president of the Georgia chapter (MALGA) and his core of officers for taking on a daunting task of reviving the organization in a matter of months. Truly, these sons and daughters of Maryland County have manifested their love and care for the well being of our people.

To the most dedicated committee chairs and their team members, you were awesome.  Each committee's report has laid out several guidelines to ensure NAMCAL's financial records are kept with transparency, accountability and projects we can best work towards implementing in the areas of education and health care.

To Mr. Claude Langley, speaker of the National Representative Council, thank you for bringing some balance to NAMCAL's leadership. Most grateful for your long service to the NRC which is about to end.

To my wonderful, energetic, dedicated and committed National Leadership Council members, I salute each of you for your proactive team spirit. Since our leadership began in September 2007, you consistently gave me so much of your time and services without wavering and above contributed to the transparency of this leadership. Can't ask for more. A be si mon.

I pray we can all take this year's theme "Marylanders United for Peace and Progress” seriously by giving more of ourselves to the cause of our people.

Much love and Peace

Roberta Brown
President, NAMCAL
